Tier Listing Brainrot Terms

S Tier:

  • Rizz
Rizz is a word that means charisma, so when someone says they have “rizz” then they are very charismatic. Rizz deserves to be in S Tier as it’s very versatile due to its many variations, such as “rizzler.” It is also commonly used and makes sense in a variety of contexts. Finally, it won the Oxford word of the year award in 2023.

  • Sigma
Sigma means that one is the “lone wolf” of a “pack,” and their actions are uninfluenced by others. It’s used to make fun of people, but acknowledge that they’re a loner. It can also be used to praise someone by saying that they’re the sigma, and above everyone else. It’s used in the meme “Erm… what the sigma?” which gives it more variety. Overall, it’s very iconic, placing it in S Tier.

A Tier:

  • Fanum tax
This term is used when you steal food from your close friend (or not). If you steal food from one of your friends, you have “fanum taxed” them. This originated from a popular streamer named Fanum that stole food from his roommate, Kai Cenat, while on stream. It’s a goofy term, but it happens in real life, deservedly placing it in A Tier.

  • Alpha
The alpha is the leader of a group who is vocally strong and can control a crowd easily. Alphas tend to suffer Main Character Syndrome. Though the term is good to describe someone, it isn’t as iconic as sigma.

  • Beta
A beta is like an NPC (non playable character). They have no emotions or personality, and always conform to their group or community. This term is usually used as an insult.

B Tier:

  • Aura
A system where the more positive vibes that surround you the more aura you have (“aura points”). For example if you make a shot, you gain aura points, but if you brick, then you lose aura points. Aura points are inflated way too much, but still makes sense in real life.

  • Mewing
Mewing is an exercise where you stick your tongue to the roof of your mouth to help sharpen your jawline. If you hold it for a long time, you could have a long “mewing streak,” and can flex in front of your friends. Unfortunately, it’s been debunked, but it’s still kind of funny.

C Tier:

  • Skibidi
Skibidi doesn’t have any meaning whatsoever. It refers to the series on YouTube Shorts, called “Skibidi Toilet,” about the war between toilets with human heads and humans with camera heads. The show is targeted towards little kids, and is hard to watch.

  • Baby Gronk
Baby Gronk is a young football prodigy that is proclaimed to have a lot of rizz. He is named after a popular NFL player and receives a lot of pressure to join the league.

  • Mogging
Mogging is the act of looking better than someone else (to “mog” someone is to look better than them). Used in “looksmaxing” to improve physical appearance and features. This originated from role playing games (RPGs), where one “maxxes” out their stats. But in this case, it’s their looks.

D Tier:

  • Grimace Shake
The purple McDonalds shake that’s believed to cause precarious situations to people who drink it. Overall, it’s super stupid. The point of brainrot is to not make sense, but this has gone too far.

F Tier:

  • Prime
This is Logan Paul and KSI’s sports drink, created as a competitor to gatorade. It's too sweet, and it also loses points because it’s made by two controversial youtubers. It is also only meant to be consumed for people 15+, even though it is marketed towards kids. These factors all place it in F Tier.

  • Lunchly
Lunchly is a collaboration between KSI, Logan Paul, and Mr. Beast sponsoring their food products. It’s in F-tier because the creators are terrible influencers and Lunchly is an uncreative rip-off of Lunchables. It contains Prime and Feastables which makes it even worse. There are also incidents of Lunchly products containing mold, which is extremely unhealthy for consumers. All of these make it a terrible product, and people who buy it are in the trenches.

  • Only in Ohio
This meme is a meme where a video depicting something strange will play with the caption “Only in Ohio.” It was funny in 2022, but it’s aged very poorly. Whoever still laughs at those is stuck in COVID…
