Roblox Games That Changed My Life and Will Change Yours

This is an article that’s essentially a tier list of the best roblox games out there. The best games in my humble opinion, that is. I will also incorporate a section for games that others like to play, as well. Also I’m 100% NOT serious about this article. I think. 

My name is Sitara Gopal and if you didn’t know, I’m a Roblox fanatic. I play Roblox no matter the time, season or weather. No matter the  issues I have, Roblox will always be my beacon of hope and light in this dark and twisted world. Over my years as a Roblox player many games have entertained me, but none but a few have changed the trajectory of my life. My goal in writing this article is to spread awareness of the top games in Roblox so that others may discover the true creativity that the Roblox community holds.

D TIER: 

Kpop Demon Hunter Story 

Kpop Demon Hunters is my least favorite movie of all time, yet this game managed to make me laugh in a way the movie could not. The music, which is I think different from all the ones in the movie, easily out-do Kpop Demon Hunters’s hit songs “Golden” and “Soda Pop.” This may have to do with the fact that the whole game was ripped off from Daycare Story, a popular game back in the day. I HIGHLY recommend this game but since it’s (technically) a rip off I had to put it in D tier. Let that not deter you, dear Robloxian! I believe it was David Baszuki who said “Some of the best things in life are stolen.” What a wise man! I hope no allegations surface! 

Royale High 

Royale High was a peak game back in 2020/2021 and one of the most popular dress up games back in the day. It was based off of Winx Club which is also such a peak show, especially to 10 year old me. Sadly, the controversies, power hungry developers, and overall downgrades of the game has landed it in the D tier. It has fallen from its throne like a Roblox character does when it falls off the obstacle course Niche Fruit Obby. So heartbreaking…so poetic… so niche. In all seriousness though (probably the most serious I’ll be in this article), Royale High nostalgia is real. 

Banana Eats 

I played this game nonstop during the year 2021 with my friends. Basically, you run away from a living banana and it’s kinda like Piggy but you also collect cake and solve puzzles. Lowkey, I’d say it’s better than Piggy… This is a hot take. Technically, I wouldn’t say this game changed my life but it’s the first horror game I ever played… Wow memories. Recently I replayed this game and it really wasn’t the type of game I play today (maybe cause I’m not good at it anymore) but I can never downplay the joy I felt at the loading screen when I was 11. 

C TIER: 

Adopt Me 

Adopt Me was another peak game back in the day but it’s really decayed over time much like Royale High… The only reason it’s higher than Royale High is because the developers aren’t as problematic. Today, Adopt Me is a shell of its former self… now only a shameless cash grab… Or maybe it always was. Perchance.

Get A Flight to Floptropica at 3am 

This is the kind of game you stumble upon late at night…scrolling through the boring recommendations… Lobotomy Simulator …Tax the Poor to Become Rich Tycoon…Wait In Line For Lebron (Actually pretty peak)…  Get A Flight to Floptropica at 3am was a breath of fresh air, reminiscent of its predecessor Get a Snack at 3am. You may be thinking: Floptropica??? That’s so 2021!!!! And to that I say: Heh… Have you ever blown up a gas station?  Also!! It has a Christmas update which is so peak! And you get to beat up Colleen Ballinger. 

Anime Femboy Cart Ride 

This game is masterfully crafted and would score higher if this wasn’t the game where my friend revealed shocking and traumatic news to me. I highly recommend this experience! Basically what you do is ride a cart around a bunch of huge femboys. The aesthetics are super cute too and there’s a picnic area!! 

B TIER:

Word Bridge 

Do you think you’re smart? Do you stay cool under pressure? Do you like screaming at kids (doesn’t have to be your own)? Try out Word Bridge today! What other game can you show off your talents to your friends and family? This game didn’t really change my life, but coming to terms with the fact that I know longer words than 8 year olds really boosted my ego! 

Niche Fruit Obby

This game… Wow… can I even explain how life changing this game was? Niche Fruit Obby really puts the niche in Niche Fruit Obby but don’t let that deter you! If there was a single Obby that I could say influenced me the most I would say Niche Fruit Obby. The game is extremely well done, aesthetically pleasing and it’s not even that difficult! 

Kpop Demon Hunter Color Bridge 

This game, like Kpop Demon Hunter Story, breathes new life into the Kpop Demon Hunters storyline. It’s like any other color bridge but with the Kpop Demon Hunters and a grating song playing in the background that could easily beat the official soundtrack. The best part of the game, however, is the morphs! You can morph into Jinu, a popular character, and boy is he charming! Standing double the height of the average player with a strange meaty face that blinks with more force than necessary, playing as Jinu is sure to make your experience more magical! Warning: it says there’s a reward but there really isn’t. The real reward is the time spent playing! 

Two Player Matcha Tycoon

What other game can you wage war on drinks while you yourself are a cone of ice cream? What other game can you fight people with a samurai sword while looking like a cat? What other game can you throw ice cream shaped bombs off your roof? AND you can do it all with your friends!!! Play two player matcha tycoon today!! Another good similar game is 2 Player Steal a Labubu. I’m a billionaire on that game. Honestly, 2 player tycoons are so fun in general so if you this, look at my honorable mentions at the top for more!!

Mall Tycoon

Mall Tycoon is, like the name suggests, a mall tycoon. This game is highly addictive and you get a hit of dopamine when you unlock new stores. Also, your customers are literally NPCs that look like your friends and I love when tycoons do that. It’s so funny to see them all go shopping and stuff. Especially when someone you know doesn’t shower buys soap or something.  But I actually don’t know 75% of the people I friend on roblox so there’s that.  

BL Obby (HALLOWEEN UPDATE specifically) 

BL Obby is a true masterpiece, especially the halloween update version. This game truly was life changing and easily comparable with Niche Fruit Obby… Yes I said it… BL Halloween Update Obby could stand its ground against Niche Fruit Obby. 

Tower of Hell

This game is a true classic. I probably should have placed it lower since I haven’t played in years but not only did this game impact me, but also the broader Roblox community. The amount of cultural impact this game has had with the amount of incidents (Sucky tan ducky doo, jump if you think you’re pretty, etc.) makes this game one of the most life changing ones on the platform. 

Cheese Ride Into Rat! 

This game, inspired by Cheese Escape, is one of the best cart ride games out there, competing with the legends like Cart Ride Into 17 Pregnant Hyenas and Cart Ride Into Pregnant Beatles. 

A TIER: 

Dress to Impress

This game is so good!!!! If you haven’t played this game, what are you doing!! Boy do I love flowery games with dark hidden lore 🤤🤤 Quests are so peak but the developers are a bit greedy and one of them was outed as a groomer. Also, I’m going to be so real, I don’t really care much for the lore. It’s interesting and the quests are really well done but I can’t lie I have no idea who Agamemnon is. Regardless, I think it being a dress up game mixed with horrific cult lore adds a lot more to what would be a more boring superficial kind of game. 

Natural Disaster Survival 

This game is so fun omg!! The only reason it’s not at S tier is because there are SO MANY hackers. In my opinion, it’s one of the best games to have beef with people (kids). Also, you don’t even really need to play with your friends. I think this game is also very culturally significant to the Roblox community as a whole, being a classic game that’s still held on strong today. The developers still update as well with new maps and features. 

99 Nights in the Forest

I love this game, it’s so versatile and not even THAT scary (I say even though I’m terrified of the owl thing). I can’t lie, I  had a phase in August where I played this with my friends everyday.I’d actually recommend only playing with friends when you first start because if you’re on a call you can easily communicate and divide roles. Also you can tame stuff now!! And you can literally tame the deer.  The only thing I don’t like is that your world doesn’t save so you have to do everything in one sitting.

Flicker 

Flicker is another classic!! Anonymous mode is so fun too because that’s where you get people who actually have a functioning brain.  As long as you communicate with others and are an active participant in conversations, I’ve found people are less suspicious of you and even defend you. You should also be funny, I think. I recommend teaming with a friend because that’s how you win. General rule: Carlos is always funny.

Work at a Pizza Place 

The BEST ragebait game. I love this game so so so so much but it makes me want pizza so bad. Not only is it hella nostalgic but being a manager is so fun because you get to yell at kids. I love yelling at kids… Fun date idea! Order pizza and play Work at a Pizza Place. Highkey, I do that anyway.  POV: your kids are starving but the manager position in Work at  a Pizza Place is open. 

Barbershop Haircut That Costs a Quarter Obby 

A BARBERSHOP HAIR CUT THAT COSTS A QUARTER. I know I’m dragging this but genuinely it’s a good Obby. I also like the 67 horror one but not as much. I think this was the first Obby I played on my computer too because I only started playing Roblox again recently and I was an iPad kid in 2019-2022. I think you can tell though. 

Bakudeku Story

Listen here.. I’m not really a BakuDeku fan. This story, however, may have swayed me! It’s a truly heartfelt and well thought out story with shocking twists. I recommend playing this with friends and voicing the characters. Another good one is Sad Dexter Story, though the retroslop hate is a bit outdated. 

S TIER: 

Roblox Titanic 

A game with no rivals … Roblox Titanic shifted my whole perspective on Roblox, my life, the world and history as we know it. In what other game can you fly away from the actively sinking Titanic in an airplane with a guy speaking in tongues? ?  I highly recommend this game. I would choose this game over Niche Fruit Obby a million times. If that doesn’t speak to its brilliance, I don’t know what does. Also, ragebaiting roleplayers is so fun.

SAT Prep Game 

I’m not joking, this worked. I think. 

Cart Ride Into 17 Pregnant Hyenas 

I hate this game so much it had to get into the S tier. Unfortunately, Roblox banned the word pregnant so the original isn’t on the platform anymore. Despite that, there are so many fakes out there like Cart Rides Into Expecting Hyenas. Um. This is getting awkward. Heh, is it hot in here, or is it just me?  I really don’t want to write about pregnant hyenas. I have a splitting headache just thinking about it. This game is really just a classic and also I think one of the first famous funny cart ride games.

Cart Ride Into 99 Nights in the Forest

One of the best games to ever come out of this platform. It’s everything pregnant hyenas is not. If you like this game, also play Survive And Kill 99 Nights in the Forest. Lowkey, I play any game that has 99 nights in the forest in the name.
